Searching for new monthly donors!!!
If you have not claimed your Bulldog, it is not too late; Just FReepmail me your address and pledge number.
Friday, I made a call at the Marine Recruiting Office in Fresno.
Wasn't sure how to explain my presence, so I said .... "I'm really not here to enlist"
They laughed and said they had expected me to walk right in and sign up.
After I stumbled around a little trying to think what to say, I told them that we had some unclaimed Marine Bulldogs and we wanted them to have the six I had carried in.
The officer who looked to be in charge, thanked me and said there were only 3 of them there.
I asked them to keep them and give them to someone, maybe a Marine Mom.
One said "YES! ... my Mom!
I got a a little misty eyed but asked if I could give him a hug.
Of course, he came over and hugged me. I told him we appreciated his service and we supported them.
Then I asked if I could give the other two guys hugs.
They both came over to give me a hug and thanked me.
Then as my voice trembled a little, I told them that I would keep them in my prayers.
What a tremendous feeling to spend just a few minutes with these fine young men. They are so young.
If you have a Bulldog coming, let me know.
If you don't want it, it is a wonderful feeling to hand it to a Marine or a Marine Mom.
Make your donation ... then send me your address ... then let a Marine know he is appreciated.
Thank you for listening to my heartwarming experience.
