The word "SECRET" on the top of the memos did not tip off the smartest women in the world that these memos were classified.
Many of those memos would have been Top Secret.
Possession of top secret memos in a non secure area, as well as storing/transmitting them as emails on a non secure server would be criminal acts.

That level isn’t required. Anyone who receives even a non-secret level email which has information which can be reasonably determined to be classified is to delete the email immediately, then pick up the phone and call the appropriate team. (I was surprised about the delete, but I guess they didn’t want it hanging around to more easily be hacked or read)
Hubs just filled me in on the policy. If one doesn’t do the above, the employee would likely STILL end up in hot water.
