PP is an arm of the Dem party.
I agree, running another Bob Dole, John McCain or Mitt Romney will be a good candidate for us to win. But, I doubt you can show me any; third party candidate who has won.
OTOH, people were so fed up with Clinton that it allowed GW Bush to win over Al Gore and then John Kerry. We’d be in worse shape today had either Gore or Kerry won. It also seems to me that voters are just as fed up with 0bama which means whoever we get to run stands a good chance to win the election. I think that’s why we have so many running this time around.
Fiorina’s best line was to Wallace this morning. He asked what would happen if PP had to stop free mammograms and Aids testing? Fiorina’s answer was great “I thought that was what Obamacare was for”. Bada Bing!
Rumor is that one of them deals with racial issues that could prove quite devastating to PP.
I would not support Jeb in the primary. But, if he wins the nomination I’ll hold my nose and vote for him over a Democrat. I hate being put into this position too.
Choosing the lesser of two evils is never a fun proposition. I’d still take a half loaf or a quarter loaf versus no loaf at all.
I guarantee you, Jeb Bush would nominate more of a conservative for the Supreme Court than Hillary would present us with. As one example.
I am finished holding my nose and choosing the lesser of two evils.
I agree. I have never seen a candidate I thought could win Third Party until now. I think Trump and Cruz could either redefine the Republican Party or relegate it to the dust bin of history by creating a new Conservative Party.
Thanks, Diogenesis! Terrific reporting.
I really do understand your position. Still, I believe we stand a better chance of moving Bush to the right than we would ever have with moving Hillary anywhere.
We didn’t get to this position overnight. It took years and it will take years to turn it around. That’s why I continue supporting Tea Party candidates and push for primary challenges to RINO’s.
So, no one wants to address my points?
My point being that we where betrayed in the 2014 elections and Donald Trumps meteoritic rise in polls is a response to this?
Let’s not move on to the election of 2016 without first talking about what we’re going to do about electing an entire Republican Congress in 2014 and what they’ve accomplished... OR not accomplished.
Heard pro-life Ms Fiorina come to the defense of womens health, but not much on the babies involved...
Agree. Fiorina was off her game. She could have done a much better job of attacking what PP was doing. i.e., taking human lives in the name of medical research.
We must have heard different interviews. I heard Fiorina repeatedly talk about babies with hearts and hands. She talked about how doctors refer to women’s babies in the same ultrasounds where the pro-infanticide Democrats talk about tissues.
Carly was passionate and effective and I would be happy to see her as the Vice President candidate on a Cruz-Fiorina ticket.
Voting any third party certainly guarantees a Democrat win. Should it come to that, it will be hard to complain about a Hillary presidency if youre part of the reason she wins.
Nope. Running another beltway GOPer guarantees a Dem victory.
You are not addressing the issue. I agree that running an establishment candidate is a losing strategy but even in a Ted Cruz-Hillary election if Trump runs as third party:
(a) Trump will not win
(b) Hillary will win
And that will be it for America.
Probably because most of us agree with you.
HEY!!!
You stole dat!
...another "conservative" like Kennedy, maybe? Or maybe even another wordsmith like the Chief Justice whose-name-need-not-be-repeated?
JMHO, we either straighten that entire mess inside The Beltway, from the WH down, in the next eighteen months or we might just as well start planning a latter-day Trail of Tears thehellouttahere.
There just aren't any options anymore.
After those bums finish looting or spoiling everything that used to be called The United States of America, I don't really think they'll have as much use for any of us as they do now for a 32-week fetus.
