OK, here’s my analysis.
Neither America nor Europe, nor China nor Russia need fear Iran. Iran can perhaps get surrogates to inflict marginal damage but no where near mortal damage to America and also to Europe.
Obama knows that even though he would never do so, retaliation to Iran after a Pearl Harbor like incident would be devastating to Iran. The certainty is that Iran lacks the ability to project and alway uses surrogates to do so. Obama wants to be known as a peace maker (monger) and found it much easier to go along with the world (actually a hand full of nations) and create a great smoke screen, a subterfuge, pretending to end Iran’s nuclear bomb production.
The nations of the world that are fearful of Iranian hegemony were not allowed to participate in the negotiations. Those nations are in the same position after the agreement as they were before. It is up to them to develop (or continue to implement) operations that disrupt the Iranian developments.
Iran has focused attention and surrogate operations on Israel as a subterfuge. Iran could care less about Israel other than a propaganda focus. Iran covets the Arabian Peninsula and all the wealth and modern trade capabilities. Abu Dhabi and Dubai and Dammam and Riyadh possess all Iran is not.
Then there is the real reason.....Mecca. He who controls Mecca controls the hajj and thus Islam. All the bombastic rhetoric is merely subtrafuge to obscure the real target....Mecca
If this is how they’re going to behave BEFORE congress has even voted on this horrid agreement, what should we expect from them AFTER it’s been approved and they’ve gotten all that money promised to them and the international sanctions have been lifted?
It seems to me that their continued open displays of defiance after getting everything they could have hoped for before this is even a “done deal” would certainly influence MY vote if I had one.
Then again, I don’t have anything to hide so blackmail wouldn’t be a concern to me and no amount of money could convince me that allowing these maniacs to develop nuclear weapons to terrorize the rest of the world with would be a good plan.
