at the risk of being called a liberal I want a static minimum wage witch is tied to what ever is the maximum wage that is being paid to the president of the corporation and for small business it should be figured by how much the company makes in profit each year and how many employs the company supports. this would lead to less profitable endeavors having a lower minimum wage while anything that is highly profitable having to pay more......having a fixed minimum wage is extremely bad for the poor because periodically someone gets the bright idea to raise the minume wage thinking they are helping the poor. This is extremely bad for those that are not competitive enough to get better jobs. and anyone retired on social security. for the low paid wage earner over night what ever wage increase he has gotten if he has stayed with the job is wiped out because the employer cant afford to pass on those wage increases he has gotten . in the next 3-6 months inflation hits driving up the cost of food and housing because business have to pas on there costs to everyone else if they are going to survive as a business.

the liberals got to face the facts that raising a fixed minimum wage is bad.

How about no minimum wage, instead?

Each business offers what it can afford.

Each employee works for what he's willing to accept.

So, I guess for my fatm, if I have an exceptional crop this year and make a once in a decade exceptional income, I have to pay my workers more next year while I barely scrape by (which then throws me into bankruptcy)? How does that make sense?
