This should be Big News.

“If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?”

Sigh ...

Good for him! I still really pissed off at Mconnell for numerous reasons, but #1 on the hit parade was the fact that once the pubbies took control of the senate, he didn’t refer Reid to the ethics committee, for knowingly lying about Romney from the well of the senate, to protect himself from being sued, while slandering Romney.

This guy needs to be in the white house!

The fact that he’s Hispanic is fine...shows you need not be a liberal fool just because you are Hispanic.

, do they just want to keep control of the party or do they actually want to win the general election?

That is a silly question. Republicans do not want to win the Presidency at all. They are happy to be the Designated Opposition that opposes nothing but gets all the corruption perks available. Republican candidates typically crave to win the Nomination for the party honor that symbolizes but shudder at the prospect of being President. Those conservatives who actually want to win the election are regarded as being crazy or retarded or to have some other sort of corrupt motivation and are not nice people and do not want to play the Washington game. They must be resisted at all costs or they could disrupt the money flow into the Republican pockets.

Good article. Thanks for posting. After reading it, even I can almost figure out how Cruz and others are using these Senate procedures.

I like Ted’s quote.

“What has that majority done? We came back and passed a trillion-dollar Cromnibus plan, filled with pork and corporate welfare. That was the very first thing we did. Then this Republican majority voted to fund Obamacare, voted to fund President Obama’s unconstitutional executive amnesty, and then leadership rammed through the confirmation of Loretta Lynch as attorney general. Madam President, which of those decisions would be one iota difference if Harry Reid were still majority leader? Not a one.”

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) has tied the Senate in knots into the weekend with his parliamentary maneuvers on a bill funding highway programs. The U.S. Senate is embroiled in a battle between leadership and conservatives that is getting ugly and personal.

It's a battle between someone who actually did his work in school -vs- the Bluto Blutarskis.
