Even the Ronaldus Magnus was a democrat once. And a union activist!
So what is your point again? No body is allowed to evolve after Reagan?
C’mon. He’s 70 years old! And he’s still trying to “find” himself? How do you know he won’t change again next month - or next year?
He has no record at all as a policy maker. He can say anything he thinks people want to hear.
He’s been “for” about almost everything he now says he’s “against” and vice versa.
I will support proven candidates who are trustworthy and humble, and who have long conservative track records - not people who are still “evolving”.
I don’t think you have studied Trump’s working years very carefully. Until now, only thing which mattered to Trump was making money. And he made a lot of it. Inherited $200-400 Million from father and grew it 25-50 times.
I have also grown my money 25 times but I started with a small amount, so it was not difficult. But I am already bumping against the ceiling, known as taxes in higher brackets. So I have great admiration for anyone who can make $1 Billion grow into $10 Billion, or even just $4 Billion as some claim Trump is really worth.
Trump already has lived the most luxurious life people can only dream about. His personal jet Boeing 757 has gold plated seat belt buckles! Trump already has name recognition in spades, all around the world. The only thing missing in his life is LEGACY. My guess is nearing age 70, that is what he is after. If Trump can really “Make America Great Again”, he will have achieved that legacy, which will be sung in high praises for generations to come. It looks to me he wants to be known as the most America-centric president.
I do not see anything in his past which any large businessman would not have done. He never was an official in GOP. Therefore he was free to donate money to anyone, including democrat politicians in his home base, New York. It is nothing unusual for a large business.
I am sure Trump is not a pure social conservative. Do not expect him to assassinate any abortion doctors, although he says he is pro-life. Do not expect him to stone homo-sexuals to death, even though he says he is for traditional marriage.
Basically, Trump is easy to understand if you look through correct glasses.
He shouldn’t run third party if they nominate Cruz. But, if they nominate someone like Jeb, he should run. That’s the only way the GOP will learn.
I applaud Trump for his business acumen. He is the best and has made and lost fortunes many times.
I just don’t see the job of president as that of a corporate CEO. If that’s all it was, Trump would fill the bill. Ross Perot would have filled that bill, as well.
But I see it as much more than that. Moral leader, spiritual leader, CIC, and chief law enforcement officer are just a few of the numerous roles a president is called upon to play. I don’t see Trump in any of those roles.
For now, I support Walker. You’re not going to change my mind and I’m not going to change yours.
It’s a free country. Support whom you will. May the best man or woman, who is not a Democrat, win.
You got that right. I do not focus my posts on pointing out Walker’s shortcomings. I am sure I could post dozens of such posts if I thought that would peel away Walker supporters. Actually the opposite will happen if I did that. Walker supporters will hate the candidate I support.
I think it is best to focus on positive aspects of your candidate instead of attacking other candidates. Freepers are not stupid. They already know enough about all candidates.
