If it ever became widespread the driver could STILL actuate the emergency/ parking brake plus still use the gear selector to slam it into PARK and neutralize the transmission.
What a headache of an insurance claim to process, though!

How about neutral and trying to feather the emergency brakes?
Beats scrambling a transmission I guess.

Slam an auto tranny into park at freeway speeds will destroy the ratchet and pawl inside and it’s not pretty and you’re still going after it.

“...plus still use the gear selector to slam it into PARK and neutralize the transmission.”
You’re assuming the gear selector in mechanically connected to the transmission. If it’s connected by wire and interfaces with the on-board computer, that may not be possible.

E-brake will barely slow a car at full throttle.
Your only chance is the shifter and power brakes. Assuming they are also not computer controlled

Uninstall your printer software and delete the printer. Download the basic drivers (No Software Package). It won’t ask for internet anymore. I have had this battle before!
