John McCain, who has risen to political prominence on his image as a Vietnam POW war hero, has, inexplicably, worked very hard to hide from the public stunning information about American prisoners in Vietnam who, unlike him, didn’t return home. Throughout his Senate career, McCain has quietly sponsored and pushed into federal law a set of prohibitions that keep the most revealing information about these men buried as classified documents. Thus the war hero who people would logically imagine as a determined crusader for the interests of POWs and their families became instead the strange champion of hiding the evidence and closing the books.

As I recall. McCain worked with John Kerry to put this secrecy of information concerning POWs in place.
No secrets, talked about during presidential run.
But, since McCain dances to their tune, the media isn’t interested in pursuing it.

Unfortunately, that is how the game is played. I do not like it any more than you do. And for anyone who questions McCain’s service record, I will not play that game. I will not defend his political choices.

Many of us knew of McCain’s past perfidy about the Vietnam POW/MIA’s.
Benedict Arnold has more of a claim to be an American war hero than McCain.
Any man who strong arms the POW/MIA families, prevents information about their loved ones from ever seeing the light of day, but hugs his torturer, Colonel Trang, when seeing him after 20 years, is no hero to me.
I remember those hearings and trying to find the POWs. But if documents existed..... Reagan in 8 years, Bush1 in 4 years and Bush2 in 8 more years could have ordered the Pentagon to release any information. Something which always bothered me.
Well lets see if this Trump can walk the walk and win some primaries.
