While his brother GW as president derided the SBVFT for their attacks on Kerry.
Jerome Coursi who helped organize the SBVFT also helped organize the investigation into Obama’s fake birth certificate. The media with the backing of the political establishment went after Coursi for his expose on the birth certificate and called him a liar and scammer.

We WERE TELLING THE True about John Kerry’s fake Purple Heart claims as well as about his ties to radical, pro-Hanoi organizations.
I was one of 4 writers/coordinators/computer programs who put the book “Unfit for Command: Swift Boat Veterans Speak Out Against John Kerry”, Regnery, 2004, along editors/coordinators/writers John E. O’Neill and Jerome R. Corsi, PhD, with the invaluable Scott Swett (his father is a Vietnam war bomber veteran) on the computers.
The book was a joint contributing effort of over 260 Swift Boat veterans, other Vietnam veterans, with Jerry and myself as journalists (I was a MACV-accredited journalist in SVN and Cambodia in the Fall, 1970).
Until I got a call from a 1st Marine Division veteran old friend from “Vietnam Veterans for a Just Peace”, formed by O’Neill and others, I hadn’t seen John for many years. I was asked to help do research on Kerry and his Hanoi Lobby activities from meeting the VC/NLF/No. Vietnamese in Paris at least twice, to his involvement in the increasingly radical Vietnam Veterans Against the War in Vietnam.
Kerry’s senior commanders in Operations Sealord and Market-Time as well as related Special Forces Operations officers supporting the Swift Boat operations in the Delta, all contributed information to the book, as did hundreds of Swifties, including some who served with Kerry.
We exposed the three false narrative stories that Kerry gave to the military in order to get Three Purple Hearts and a one-way trip ticket home (after only 4-5 months of in-country service). Grenade accident due to stupidity; possible ricochet from his own M-79 grenade launcher when he hit is own boat’s railing while firing at the enemy; and the non-existent mine explosion on the Bay Hap River).
What I write is not an attempt to downplay the legitimate combat actions that Kerry participated in, but he always put himself out there first as the leader, the hero, the bravest of them all, which was not the truth.
As the late country singer/comedian Johnny Standley said in his song, “It’s in the book”, our book, if you want the true, whole story about Kerry’s self-serving, backstabbing, and possibly illegal activities (re the write-up of his Silver Star recommendation).
To this day, Kerry has NOT released all his military records to the public as he promised, including any records as to why he got his official Navy (and Reserve) discharge years later during Pres. Carter’s general amnesty program.
What is he hiding?
Nor has any major point of “fact” we published ever been discredited, disproved, or even significantly challenged. We have been smeared by the NY Times, ignored by the Wash. Post (they even censored one of their reporters who did a good follow-up on the Bay Hap River operation/lie by Kerry, and then plans to continue on. Never allowed to do it), and other publications of the Mainstream Media.
That is what we asked and attempted to reveal with the research we did from June - August, 2004. Additional information on Kerry’s behavior and misbehavior was published a few years after our book by Scott Swett and Tim Ziegler, entitled “To Set The Record Straight”.
It contained additional research that Scott, myself and Command John Campbell (aided by his fantastic wife Mary) and a few others were able to find in the Naval Historical Center in DC, among other places.
The full story of John F. Kerry not only in Vietnam but in his support of the Marxist Sandinistas in Nicaragua in the 1980’s, and his abandonment of our POWS/MIAS (along with John McCain), in the 1994-95 agreements for mutual diplomatic ties with Hanoi, is out there for further research.
Also his hiring of a discredited Hanoi propagandist, an unstable informer, and a disreputable private investigator protecting the Sandinistas while attacking the freedom-fighters fighting the communists in Nicaragua, are worth looking into.
Kerry was, and is, a politician who has put his political ambitions about the national security of our country, and yet he gets to be Secy of State under Obama, who collectively, have sold out Iraq to Iran and parts of Iraq to ISIS. He has also sold out both the US and Israel, as well as much of the more moderate Middle Eastern countries to Iranian blackmail, hegemony and terrorism. He is, in other words, still doing what he did to the South Vietnamese, Cambodians and Laotians, betraying them to the enemy.

We lose these propaganda battles not just because the media is arrayed against us but because our champions are cowards. We lose these battles because there is no one left in academia to set the record straight so we graduate generation after generation of indoctrinated voters.

I’ve taught my son the truth and influenced his friends when they tell me what they learn in school. For now, it’s all we can do.
I spend a lot of time on the phone with him not just telling him the truth but explaining to him why they are serving up these materials, how these materials are designed to condition him to accept the next lurch leftward.
It is necessary for these kids to understand not just that they are being manipulated but how the manipulation is being accomplished.
I have always been an instinctive conservative but I cannot pretend that when I graduated from college I was undeceived by the faculty, to the contrary most of my assumptions, when not confronted, were politically correct. It took real world experience as well as continued study to catch on to the game.
I’ve been gratified that my son can watch TV and give me the spin back to the truth from what he’s been presented. And then explain what the angle is.
He’s only 22 but very perceptive.
He can recognize the attempts at manipulation and is well grounded in truth.
When he was in high school he would give the science teachers fits refuting global warming.

Truth is one of the first casualties in war and we indeed are in a war. The left is used by outside powers to weaken the internal solidarity of Americans and they have succeeded quite well with a brief interlude of Ronald Reagan and the Reagan Revolution.
Today we have the hindsight to know that the enemy is not only the left but also the moderate establishment. What makes us aware to today are the deregulation of the telecommunications industry that dismantled the left’s monopoly on the message.
Now the internet is the battleground and we see the left’s tactics and propaganda everyday in this forum. Consider it a good training ground for awareness development.

I have a soon to be 9-year old; why I’m interested.
I have always regarded his education to be my responsibility. I stayed engaged and read what he was reading and critiqued it. If it varied from what I knew to be true, I would show him my evidence and let him decide.
I only started to innoculate him against the propaganda when he got to middle school.
We had lived in a rural area and his primary education presented few challenges. Moving to a metro area the manipulation was markedly more evident.
I decided he was gaining enough maturity to be frank with him and explained political philosophies, the founders vision and their genius of understanding human nature in setting up our unique system and how ground-breaking it was.
History was one class he mostly already knew the material before he took the class. We are fortunate to live in VA and we made visits to many Revolution and Civil War sites, homes of Presidents, museums, etc.

I was also born in Virginia and grew up near Mt. Vernon. The experience makes me more patriotic than most. I feel sorry for those that were not close to the roots of the country when growing up. Wish there was a solid American History and Government requirement in public schools like there as when I was growing up there.
His Silver Star was awarded for shooting a kid in the back. One of his PHs came from shooting himself in the butt. Yeah, sure, hero, that’s right.
I was a strong GW Bush supporter, but He disappointed me when he refused to defend his OWN Character when Hussein Obama and thugs trashed him daily...that really destroyed my support of the entire family.
Jeb Bush is weak and changes positions with the flick of a finger. He will not get my vote...
