What would be the opposition to a Whole Foods?

In general, there wouldn’t be - in fact it would appeal to the snobs around here.

The problem with this particular location is, the building site sits above some of the priciest homes in the area. There is no way to block the noise or lights. In addition to the whole foods, there is to be mixed-use commercial and some residential patio homes. Also, it is on the corner of a very heavily travelled road (rt 19/Washington rd). It’s the main drag in these parts & is usually pretty congested.

The township board held closed zoning meetings and lied to residents. Folks who owned homes worth 500k+ are now seeing their values drop & unable to sell. Prime Example: Chuck Knoll’s former house on Warwick drive backs up to the site. It’s been sitting on the market forever.

A piece of Steelers history, and no takers, the view is that bad.
