Easy enough to gather the info from all the gov/public agencies. Your drivers license has your basic age, race, weight and finger prints. Then there’s Social Security with all your work history. Anytime someone so much as applies for a government job, there’s that info for non gov employees. Ever sign up for a college grant or welfare? First time you so much as run a stop sign, you’re in the system. Your building permits and utility use theirs for the taking. They have access to your voters registration card and how you voted. They have your car registration. Any gov license you have such as gun permit, ham radio, beautician license is granted by Big Brother. With FDIC, your banking is theirs to own. Book a plane ticket and bam! they’re all up in your business (unless you book it under “Ackmed” or “Hussein”). Then there’s the world wide web with all it’s people searches and you volunteering every intimate detail of your life on FB and Twitter. Of course it might take an extra keystroke or two to get into your credit card purchases. The list goes on and on and on and on. And you just thought the BAU’s Penelope Garcia and the NCIS tv shows’ computer whiz teams were just Hollywood make believe.

And what do they do with all this?
========================================

What's all this data collection about?

It's about using the collected metadata to build social networks.

The NSA has been creating maps of American citizens' social networks

Why do they want to do that?
What could social networks be used for in the hands of government? Consider:

Using Metadata to Find Paul Revere

How will such capabilities be used now?
How They Hunt

Is it already too late?...

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..." US Constitution, Amendment IV.
