No, I won’t call McCain a Benedict Arnold because if you really think about what Arnold did you realize just how bad it was. Arnold was a hero at Saratoga, there is no doubt. It was after that that he turned. The bottom line with him is he tried to give or sell his combat command (West Point, then a fort on the Hudson River) to THE ENEMY for rank and riches.

McCain is and was an idiot, wrong on his politics, and harmful to the world and the USA—case in point, selling arms and supporting the proto-ISIS in Syria—but I think he’s full of himself and doesn’t realize how over his head he is.
And the truth be told, a lot of people here supported him in 2008 versus Obama. Sarah had everything to do with that, but if I brought up this thread from, say Sunday, November 2nd, 2008, what do you suppose folks here was saying about McCain then?
I certainly was praising him and encouraging everyone to vote for him. I’m not ashamed for opposing Obama, but sure wish McCain was not the opposition then.
