So what? What kind of family are they protecting anyway, the Islamic polygamous “family”?

Not that communistic constitutions never played up the “protection” of the family before anyhow.

The family enjoys the protection of the state.

Marriage is based on the free consent of the woman and the man; the spouses are completely equal in their family relations.

The state helps the family by providing and developing a broad system of childcare institutions, by organizing and improving communal services and public catering, by paying grants on the birth of a child, by providing children’s allowances and benefits for large families, and other forms of family allowances and assistance.

The UN is based on a system just like that of the USSR, never mind being accommodating of Islamic socialist principles.

Eric Metaxas is an inspiration. His book on Bonhoeffer is excellent.

I became a fan of Metaxas after watching this speech, which is the best 30 minute speech I have ever heard.

Part of what makes this speech so good (one needs to be aware that he was speaking just before Obama)is how accurately he refutes multiple points made in Obama's speech. One could think that Metaxas had an advanced copy, he did not, but Obama is just so predictable.
