"McCain has ridden the POW bandwagon far too long. His piss-poor performance as a Senator has more than made up for any heroism as a POW.
When I was in, it WAS a disgrace to become a POW. Then they started giving medals for it, now it is a badge of honor.
I'd rather honor those that evaded capture.
