I don’t claim to know. But the other fellow crucified next to Jesus did not repent and he is in hell now.

If he did damnable crime and he did not repent, he's damned.

But we won't know about anyone in this life until they, and we, reach reach the other side. That's why Christ, through the teachings of St. Paul, exhorts us to offer prayers for all men.
