Gateway Pundit has the entire video which puts his statement in context.
As for McCain, as an Arizonan, no use for the man whatsoever. What his war record means to him is re-election, and it gets used every time.
He ran last term on the promise of securing our southern border. Hes not done one thing in that regard, and people like Bob Krentz paid for his blatant disregard for the people of Arizona.
AFAIC, Trump doesnt have to walk anything back. McCain, though, should answer for his repeated insults to his own constituency!
And in case no one knew, Senator McCain received $51K in the first quarter of 2015 for his yes vote on the trade agreement.
Excellent post, kozanne. Thanks for giving us the view of a McCain constituent, too.
deport, it sounds like Trump IS speaking for many of McShame’s constituents.

That may well be true. But when push comes to shove it’s the people/voters of AZ
that can either elect or not elect him.
I’m not a McCain or Trump supporter but I don’t dis anyone who served in the US
Military and spent over 5 1/2 yrs in captivity. Dis McCain all he wants over his
elected activities and that’s fine.
A different response ....
Texas Sen. Ted Cruz called McCain an American war hero, but sidestepped when asked
whether he would condemn the remarks.
“I recognize that folks in the press love to see Republican on Republican violence,”
Cruz said. “You want me to say something bad about Donald Trump or bad about John
McCain or bad about anyone else and I’m not going to do it.”
