The daily fine is $1 per mile for failing to drive 30 miles out of your way to the appropriate public transportation hub, purchase a ticket, and ride (mostly at taxpayer expense) to another transportation hub where you can rent a vehicle to drive the other 30 miles out of your way to actually reach your job.
But that’s okay, because your employer is being fined daily another 35 cents a mile for not being located close to a public transportation hub and is closing down their California location and moving out of state.
