Absolutely. Did anyone remotely believe they would not be given those jobs considering they ran/campaigned on those positions? Look what happened to those that refused to back them.
We could have had them replaced by other more conservative people or even powerless freshman dems and STILL held the house/took the senate. But no. Raving lunatics demanded that the two most cowardly and corrupt republicans outside of Mitt Romney be given control of 2 out of three branches of Govt.
