People in Europe dont need farmers. They can easily buy their food at supermarkets. Yeah, it's much better for the environment if people just pick it up in those little plastic containers.

I wish I remembered her name....
There is a nuclear power plant right across the border from Austria in the Czech Republic. Every couple months some college students and a bunch of idiots with too much time on their hands, come across to protest at the gates of the power plant. One burgermeister (like our city mayor) actually said in front of the cameras "We don't need nuclear power because we get out electricity from the plugs." (Roughly translated from Czech) I shall attempt to find that political brilliance.

What an amazing way of destroying the ‘family farm’ than by making the cost of pollution regulations so high that only an large agri-business can afford to adhere to them and still make money.
