The facts of which I speak regarding foreign cars in general and Japanese cars in particular are not government statistics but automotive industry figures including auction sales as a resale value gauge as well as warranty claims info supplied by all mfgs.

American car makers have come a long way from the late 70’s but the Japanese car makers have not been sitting still either.

I will accept your defense of Japanese cars, but I will always refuse to drive one. Are you really looking at the impact the loss of the auto industry has had on Detroit? I still find it odd that my entire family, since 1970, parents, inlaws-outlaws, children, aunts, uncles, cousins, and now grandchildren ALL have driven AMERICAN cars and no one has ever had a problem.

Tell me. You wouldn’t by any chance own or work for a Japanese Auto agency, would you?
