D’Souza made strawman contributions to a political candidate. This is extremely common, but very rarely prosecuted. I would be interested in seeing a comparative analysis of prosecutions and sentences in such cases. My sense is that D’Souza’s treatment has been utterly disproportionate, but perhaps I am wrong. Does anyone have the data?
Perhaps we should embarrass the African Despot in the Red House and petition a pardon for Mr. D'Souza?
Should be an easier justification than pardoning a flock of convicted (repeat offending) drug dealers.
