Yeah and he's keeping them busy. Cut away today to a skirmish at the doors. SS was 'escorting' the trouble makers out.

No, usually candidates in the primary do not receive secret service protection. I’m sure Donald Trump has an elaborate and experienced private protection detail.

Once the primary campaign is over, the party’s nominee for President and Vice President will then receive secret service protection for the remainder of the campaign. If they win in November, then they will have secret service protection for life. If they lose, then they lose their secret service protection shortly after the election.
