We don’t joke about our military here.

Voted Disagree since there was no choice saying ‘asinine’.

I remember when Fort Springfield closed on the Simpsons the news reported how it devastated the local prostitution and liquor industries. You can probably add to the electronic sales and new/used car sales.

If you think like a Democrat, or like several generations of voters educated in Marxist government schools, Hawaii is a product of America’s racist, colonialist past. So it should not be defended. However, progressive policies and ideas of Obama the Great mean that no one will attack us, anyway. Hawaii can just be allowed to go it’s own way in peace.

Where should we cut? The numbers that are needed are so large that the next step is cutting pensions and making government employees work longer.

Hawaiian radicals have always wanted the US out of their ancestors’ land. When our military leaves they will get their wish come true. China or Russia would love to have Hawaii. And they will if they can get away with it.
Well, if we trade Hawaii to China for the debt we owe them, we don’t want to have any of our military left behind.

I have a son who is retired officer from the Air Force. He was stationed in Hawaii for a good reason. He is a fuels expert. I visited there and he took me inside a mountain where all fuel for pacific operations is stored. There are caverns upon caverns dug out in there going down so far you can’t see the bottom. Those islands must be protected for that reason alone.
I was on the air base and saw the many pits on the outside of the buildings where Japanese bullets hit those buildings. If you saw that, you would protect those islands just because of those pits. And, going on the USS Arizona Memorial would surely convince anyone to guard those islands - never again should that happen.
