All left wing movements result in violence. The solution is a wall of lead between you and the left wing mobs.

How then do we respond?

We do what we've always done - what we're doing now.

We hide behind the sofa and cringe in horror, and poke our noses out saying things like "I'm sorry, please like me, I won't say anything anymore".

We are a nation of herbivores, and are completely paralyzed when the fecal-flinging monkeys of the Left start screaming.

IT HAPPENS EVERY TIME.

I wonder if bible believe Christians will create relatively closed communities perhaps similar the Hasdic Orthodox Jews etc. These communities actively and mutually support their members by patronizing each other’s businesses, employment, recreation, living nearby, and participating in local government.
In the past, Christians were valued in society, business and government. Now, they are scorned in those arenas. Sometimes the best evangelism is the witness of virtuous living which can often be more easily and overtly exhibited in a supportive community.
A community open to the people of the world but not of it might be a solution. A light in the dark is great, but I feel that the light needs to be rekindled in a supportive community.

I’ve actually seen half of those on other forums. Bigot seems to be their favorite.

I admit up front that I am not religious. So for me, I see this writer’s “solutions” as being far too passive. Not going to work.

IMO, the hate and violence from the left has escalated to the point where serious and sustained push back is necessary. Passive resistance won’t protect us or reverse anything.

By “push back” I don’t mean violence or the same tactics that they use. I mean massive civil disobedience, I mean in your face refusal to comply with illegal laws and regulations. They can only take the liberties that we allow them to take.

For example, these poor bakers in Oregon are one step away from getting jailed. Which is the [guaranteed] next stage of the left’s persecution of Christians and other “non believers”. The government is threatening to take the home, the personal residence and property of Christians as punishment for their religious beliefs. This is not about a cake. This is straightforward subjugation of a religious group; that’s the intent, that’s the goal. They don’t give a damn about a cake. I firmly believe that a sizable segment of the gay marriage left is hoping for the chance to imprison Christians and anyone else that objects. You can make book on it.

You see, they have carefully fabricated the myth that only kooky Christians believe that marriage is man/woman. Not so. But it enables them to single out a group for persecution. When that is successful, other groups in society will follow. A tried and true tactic. The Nazis used it, the communists have used it many times. Face it, the left in this country is not liberal. They are at the least socialists, but really they are closer to communists.

Our desire for people’s approval is hardwired into us. We as Christians are going to have to die to that. Until we put God on the throne of our lives and desire to please him above all, we will be ineffective for the kingdom.

Certainly not the way Sunni muslims do it, letting them shrug after every terror attack. It is systematic that the left as used abortion as a way to add a piece of hate to a puzzle whose picture when complete will make Hitler’s progression to Nazism look clumsy and incomplete.

I read a lot of articles at MSN.com on Astronomy, Archeology, and Paleontology.

I always head for the Comments after I'm done because a lot of really talented and passionate people write very helpful and interesting posts.

The number of virulent anti-Christian posts are astounding. Most of them are gratuitous, out-of-thin-air mockery of the alleged Christian belief that the Earth is just 3,000 years old.

I used to think most of those posts were from trolls, but there are so many of them now, and they are so vicious, and so varied in style, that I now believe they are real, and that they represent a significant number of Americans.

You even find the same sentiments on MSN’s golf page.

Whenever Tiger Woods plays badly (almost always these days) some critic will suggest this is karma because Tiger cheated on and humiliated his wife.

One comment like that will cause a volcanic eruption of anti-Christian mockery and contempt - in the Golf section!

...but the ferocity and ugliness of it is still shocking, and it is something we must be prepared for.

Indeed.

BRING IT!
