I think it's getting to me that the country's reaction to Trump (at least the outward reaction) is so lacking in anything rational. There are millions of arguments against him being president, and in many ways the guy is a joke, even as in many ways the guy is a complete winner at life who gets stuff done. Personally I don't like or identify with the guy.
What's incredible is the group-think reaction to the content of what' he's said, the immediate jump to 'Trump Hates Mexicans and if You Agree With Him You Are Bad And Evil and also Hate Blacks and Gays.'
You can not have a logical, rational discourse in this country about an increasingly large set of topics. I remember 25 years ago when the term PC was in it's infancy -> it was kind of a funny subject. Then it got obnoxious, then ridiculous. But now it's gotten absolutely dangerous to say certain things which are demonstrable facts, or even to play devil's advocate on certain topics.
It's a witch hunt country now, and the Republicans have joined the libs as hunters. That's probably where the anger in that rant comes from. No - they are not stupid (they ARE spineless - all bullies, sell outs and those with weak will/minds who simply see that the hunters are greater in number so must either be right-after-all or better-join-them-so-I-don't get-hunted ... are spineless.)
It's not my love for Trump that rattles me about the reaction ... it's that the reaction to his words makes it clear humans have dropped into a severely dangerous state of cult like no-mind lynch herd mode ...
Maybe a final way of saying it that I've always accepted that most humans are sheep. These days though, they are rabid, infectious, frothing and have enlisted the the wolves who hypnotized them in the first place, to join them in attacking all other forms of civil life.

Did not the GOPe declar war on the Tea Party last election cycle? I seriously doubt anyone out side of DC gives a Rats Butt about GOPe it’s a clone of the Rat party, and just as corrupt.

Exactly. What Lindsey and the media hog Nikki Haley have done is alienating the base. It’s not Trump that is harming the GOP, its Lindsey and Nikki. Nikki’s responses to the flag were perfectly in line with radical left.

We are a young country, and we need to preserve our history. Our historic battlefields are being destroyed for urban sprawl and cheap houses. Historic symbols are trashed, and history rewritten.
This all reminds me of the Bolsheviks during Russia's Civil War. When they won, the possession of or link to a White Army battle flag meant a horrible death, and all those flags had to be destroyed - that's why so few remain.
It's not just the battle flag, which Nikki hates so much, there are words that if spoken cause Americans to have a meltdown. We now have alphabet words where we can say only the first letter, no matter that it means exactly the same thing as the word. I just read that on one campus uttering the word "wetback" brought hysteria and sanctions. This is insanity.
Graham-nesty, your party is part of the problem.
Democrats do suck but it is hard to blame them for Boner and McConnell not doing anything the GOP promised to do during the campaign last year. It seems to me that GOP-E republicrats like Graham are an equally serious problem.
