Cruz: GOP Candidates Attacking Trump ‘Because They Haven’t Been Speaking Out’
Breitbart ^ | 7-9-15 | Ian Hanchett

Texas Senator and Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) 96% said many Republican candidates are attacking Donald Trump “Because they haven’t been speaking out on the need to secure the border” on Thursday’s broadcast of “The Intelligence Report with Trish Regan” on the Fox Business Network.

“Well, illegal immigration continues to be enormous problem. As you know, I represent Texas. We have roughly 1,200 miles of border with Mexico. We deal will legal immigration every day. We deal with the crime that flows from it. And unfortunately, it’s exacerbated, number one by cities like San Francisco that are sanctuary cities, that give blessings to criminal aliens. But, number two, we deal with the problem that the Obama administration consistently refuses to enforce the laws. For example, in 2013, the Obama administration released over 36,000 criminal aliens. It released 116 illegal immigrants with homicide convictions.”

Sure I do.

I didn’t say what Trump said about the immigration issue wasn’t true. But I am HIGHLY suspect when he makes statements about building a border fence while at the same time telling illegals they can stay if they’re “productive” which I’m sure will have a solid definition that doesn’t amount to amnsesty /sarc.

Do I think Trump will make it a priority to repeal Obamacare? Nope. Do I think Trump would be against massive increases in the debt ceiling or would it be more likely that he’d attack conservatives in Congress for refusing to raise it like he’s done in the past? Do I think Trump would try to rein in activist judges that destroy the power of our Constitution?

I know what Ted Cruz would do because I’ve seen him do it and I know from his actions he believes in what he does, and I trust him.

A Trump in the White House would be useless and a lost cause to conservatism.

And what about

Houston
Austin
Lubbock
Amarillo
Dallas

These are in Texas and need to be dealt with as well.

"Cruz: GOP Candidates Attacking Trump ‘Because They Haven’t Been Speaking Out’"

Those evil GOP candidates, eh? It's really more of a lack of trust in Donald Trump.

If you check Numbers USA for Cruz’s immigration policy, you will find that he is for severely limiting legal immigration.

"He will do more to damage conservatism the longer he stays in and keeps people from voting for REAL Reagan conservatives like Cruz."

Please explain to us how Trump is keeping anyone from voting for REAL Reagan conservatives.

I'd like to hear that logic stream.

I went thru a border patrol station today coming from South Padre Island and could not help but notice that their only function now is drug interdiction.

That’s news to me; I thought he had sponsored a bill to triple H1B visas.

Actually, I believe Rubio just introduced legislation to increase H1 B Visas. But Cruz was in support of it also. I think his position is to limit legal immigration and of those we do allow to immigrate, make sure they are highly accomplished enough that they will be able to help create jobs.

Cruz is by far the most statesmanlike and principled. Trump can make a solid contribution on economic issues of trade and business environment, but we need Cruz’s legal mind and knowledge of the Constitution as well as his devotion to Religious Liberty. He and Trump are in agreement on the issues, but I trust Cruz to actually do what he says he’ll do.

what are his views on the H1B. these are not migrant asparagus pickers of yesteryear. they are high tech day laborers that rotate out every six months and take out american workers.

To see Cruz’s complete immigration policy positions, got to Numbers USA. You’ll se that he is for greatly reducing the number of legal immigrants.

Agreed. The SILENCE of Presidential candidates, who could be riding popular issues to popularity by taking a stand their base agrees with, is problematic.

TedHeads (Cruz supporters) are polite and informed versions of Paulbots (Ron/Rand Paul supporters).

Just as dedicated and ingenious, but without the poor social skills. ;)
