It’s better than the kind of stuff Hillary does. And according to the article: “But Chuck Jenness, the group’s chairman, lists Bush as a “close friend” and said the Bush speech grossed $3.2 million.”
Still, I don’t know why Bush should charge anything for a speech to a group like this. I suppose he probably gets thousands of requests for charitable appearances, and can’t afford to do all of them, but I would think this is one that he should agree to do without charge.
$3.2 million; not a bad return. I sure someone asked the Board Member who is upset how much they would have raised without President Bush speaking....
This is such a non story. Guess what CNN; this is why they call it a fundraiser. Get the biggest name you can afford so you can raise the most money. Seems like they did well.
