When the stupid people are put in charge, don't expect their authority to be sprinkled with wisdom.

Rather, they are like Middle-School kids, high on pot, given the authority to implement their drug addled notions.

And while we’re at it, we could add collective farming to that collective housing, comrades. Plenty of potatoes to be dug up in your former free time (free time having its roots in racism and classism, naturally).

These people are unhinged.

I am starting to understand how Patty Murray keeps getting re-elected, btw.

Scoop Jackson must be turning over in his grave.

Nah. Seattle city counsel is a master of getting their useful idiots all frothy and worked up. Just like they did against Shell’s drilling platform. It’s ALWAYS about getting more fees or taxes, and this is too. They zone single family as multi, you can still build single you just pay the multi price for permits and fees.

They can build some of those Soviet style cement apartment blocks.

19-3? Sounds like Seattle residents would enjoy more freedom if they moved to Cuba.

Agenda 21.

Also the police have easier times busting into apartments and multi-family units than single homes. More “legal” ways to do so.

Its why they want all of us living in citizens cells.

They may as well call it the dr zhivago plan. For this size house you need four more families living in here.

They’ve been moving in this direction for years. They don’t want Jeffersonian landowners, they want a subservient proletariat.

"Meh, there are plenty of nearby suburbs to live at and watch Seattle self-implode."

I live in Shoreline, and they seem to want to copy everything Seattle does.

“Good Lord, I am so glad that I have at most 40 years left on this Earth. “

I hope you make it.

I’ll be lucky if I get 5 more years and feel the way you do. I’m so glad I lived through the best of this country.

A few years ago I was talking to a woman - a Vietnamese refugee from an upper-middle class family - who said that the communist government confiscated their home before they fled the country. I asked her if she knows who’s living in her old family home. “Yes,” she said, “the communists.”

That doesn't sound like apartment blocks to me.

The libs would re-define that as a "community" fig tree on a government-owned lot.

We bought a house back in '84 just out of King county in Mountlake Terrace.

Lower property taxes and more affordable.

When the real estate bubble hit Snohomish county we sold the house for twice what we paid.

Strange that so many people are moving into the path of destruction when the mega-volcano buries Seattle.

“The city needs to move away from the idea that all families can live in their own home on a piece of land, according to a draft letter from a Seattle advisory committee.”

Those old soviet communists sure knew their stuff. Let them lead the way.

I wonder if the mayor and council members will be the first to bulldoze their homes to make room for Carbine Green West?

We had one of these hyprocite greenies suggest this type of housing, move everyone downtown in packed dwelling living. I spoke after and said that I didn't see a For Sale sign on his house and noticed he and his wife have 2 cars and drive 20 miles one way to work while dropping off their kids at a private high school. He was so pissed.
