North Dakota and RI are sanctuary states.
Sanctuary cities and counties and states.
Hey Jeb, “Say hello to my little friend!”
A quote from a 1983 movie about Miami.
Correction: With a certain Mr. Trump breathing down hard on Jeb’s back of the neck, not surprised.
That’s right, Jeb. Stick to the easy ones.
And now the local neighborhood is starting to “push back.”
I thought he said something far less consequential. I thought he said he wanted to eliminate sanctuary cities for felons, not all illegal aliens, just felons.
If so, this attack from his friends on the left is a good lesson for appeasers.
... 55,322 criminal aliens were arrested a total of at least 459,614 times, averaging over eight arrests per alien. The Department of Justice expressed its surprise at the extremely high rate of re-arrests for criminal aliens when it found that that 73 criminal aliens in a study group were arrested a total of 429 times.
Thats according to a Government Accounting Office (GAO) study
http://www.gao.gov/products/GAO-05-646R
Reflect on those numbers for just a minute.
This GAO study is only counting the number of arrests! And that should bring two questions immediately to mind:
How many actual crimes did these 55,322 criminal aliens actually commit?
How is it even conceivable that each of these illegal aliens could be arrested on average a total of almost nine times?
To at least partially answer the second question, you only need to look at so-called sanctuary cities.
Sanctuary cities are localities across the United States where liberal mayors and local legislators have instituted policies that prohibit law enforcement from cooperating with federal immigration agents and prohibit them from even questioning the immigration status of anyone they arrest.
But to add more insult to injury, many American cities like New York even allow illegal aliens to obtain free health care, food stamps and a whole assortment of government goodies without having their immigration status questioned.
2 Section 642(b) of IIRIRA further provides that, notwithstanding any other provision of federal, state or local law, no person or agency may prohibit, or in any way restrict, a Federal, State, or local government entity from sending information about an individuals immigration status, lawful or unlawful, to the INS, from maintaining such information, or from exchanging such information with any other federal, state, or local government entity. See 8 U.S.C. 1373(b) (Supp. III 1997).
(The IIRIRA is Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act. Signed by Bill Clinton )

Wrong. First 40% of the illegals here are visa overstays. Second, they are both security issues. The 9/11 hijackers came here legally and many were visa overstays. Securing the border solves only part of the problem. We must track and deport visa overstays who are just as much of a threat as those crossing the border. They are here illegally.
Don’t need a weatherman to tell which way the wind blows.
Not as long as Jeb’s around.
Congress should take the bull by the horns. This is NOT a states rights issue.
Words that I never would have thought I’d write: Donald Trump is making Bush run to the right.
Jeb, let me help you... “When I am elected president, I will veto any federal funding for sanctuary cities. Those who harbor and protect illegals will no longer be able to cash in on those actions.”
Of course, that is not what you’d do. Neither a bold unambiguous statement nor actually carry out such action. If pinned by a reporter, you’d likely admit (only in Spanish) that you’d veto such ‘racist’ legislation.
See Jeb.
See Jeb dance.
See Jeb dance very fast.
Dance Jeb, Dance.
Jimbo, you were right about your rumor yesterday.
If you overstay your visa, you are under the law supposed to be deported. There are no fines. You are placed on a lookout list and will not be issued another visa to come to the US for at least 10 years.
Illegal aliens who are caught are deported. They have committed a misdemeanor. If they reenter and are caught again, it is a felony. They can be jailed on that basis. After serving their sentence, they are deported. They cannot be issued a visa for at least 10 years. Multiple infractions will remove any eligibility for legal entry.
We are not enforcing the law for illegal aliens who enter and are caught multiple times.
Never happen. But one of many clues to Jeb's plans for America is the following.
Jeb Bush bragged in an ABC interview, in Spanish, that Spanish is the primary language used in his home:
"Jeb Bush Says He Speaks 'More Spanish Than English At Home'"
So if you want Spanish to become the primary language for the next occupants of the White House, Jeb is your hombre.
And to those who are thinking, "Why should that be held against him?" Do you think a Presidential candidate in Mexico would survive a public boast on Mexican TV in English that English is the primary language used in his home?
Mexicans take their sovereignty & survival too seriously to allow that! Do Americans?
LOL! The truth!
Trump is winning!!
Don’t really know Trump’s game but it seems like he might really want to be President. Time will tell.
Exactly.
Why would we let them have new laws when they won’t use the ones they have?
LOL!
