In the transcript the Judge makes it clear that the Dad asked her not to put the kids in detention. And these days, he could return from Israel in 24 hours.
My gut reaction about this is let the kids make up their own minds. If they really want to spend time with their Dad they will make it quite clear to their mother (and probably make her life miserable to boot until she gives in).
Even to the point of pinging JimRob, I guess in an attempt to get one of the 'combatants' kicked off FR.
I also read that the father has re-married while the mom has not. ...for what that's worth.
It seem the oldest has made himself "man of the house" now and holds great animosity towards his father, deservedly or not?
