Well if this is so, why did Sotomayor and Ginsberg ( both Judges who had officiated in gay weddings ) not recuse themselves?
Lack of ethics
Because they were given their SCOTUS seats based on their promise to Obama and the Democrats to vote in favor of gay marriage. They did precisely what they were sent there to do.
