People break out of poverty by exercising their God given talents, drive and ambition to live better lives! They get an education and work hard to succeed.
Those areas of poverty in the USA are there because the folks who live there are lazy!
Trillions of dollars have been spent on the “War on Poverty” since LBJ began it, and EUREKA! Poverty won!
Well, the poverty pimps and welfare warriors did, too!
How will this help blacks? Make them closer to the ‘free stuff’?

I might be lazy too if I knew that someone else was paying my way. The cause of the problem is the welfare state, not the other way around imho. With the destruction of the family probably the primary result of the welfare state, and all of the other problems trickling down from that.
And it will be interesting to see the effect of the gay marriage ruling long term - another attack on the family.
