If that is true, I have to ask, what armed federal agent, would be so stupid as to leave his gun in the car? Are these idiots smart enough to come in out of the rain?

I have been employed as a technician or support staffer by three federal agencies other than my military service. Additionally, I have a family member who was a career US Secret Service Agent serving from Eisenhower to Gerald Ford.

It has been my observation that the fed *alphabet agencies* [FBI,BATF,USSS, etc, etc] get MUCH more bent out of shape about the loss of credentials/ID and/or badge than firearms, and likewise, radios and computer equipment get more careful handling than things that go bang.

Like seven M-16 rifles, three MP-5 submachine guns, a 12-gauge shotgun and two M-79 grenade launchers, as well as thousands of rounds of ammunition and other assault gear....

I’d be surprised if it’s not.

Ack! Forgot all about the BLM!

The gun used in the killing of a San Francisco woman in a case that gave new political prominence to the issue of illegal immigration was stolen from a vehicle belonging to a federal Bureau of Land Management agent
