It’s astonishing, tragic, and sickening that governor after governor has recognized that the Supreme Court’s decision on gay marriage can be nullified.
Why?
Because in 42 years, NO governor has ever realized that he does not have to obey the Supreme Court’s command to deny the unborn the protection of the law.
In 42 years, NO Catholic bishop has instructed the governors that the Supreme Court’s command to deny the protection of the law to the unborn MUST be disobeyed, and that it is a mortal sin to obey it.
Instead of doing their job—teaching—the bishops have hired political consultants, lawyers, advertising agencies, etc.
You, sir, have touched on the very reason these immoral acts have been able to persist in the US - the inaction of the Catholic Church’s leadership. It is unequivocally clear that they have given cover to the Catholic politicians that have foisted these evils on us, with only few exceptions.
