Left Cracks Down On Conservatives From Wisconsin To Texas
Breitbart.com ^ | July 7, 2015 | Ben Shapiro

Posted on 07/07/2015 4:16:30 AM PDT by Biggirl

On Monday, National Review ran the latest in its series of horrifying stories about the attack on rule of law in Wisconsin. Columnist David French relates the story of “Jonah,” a 16-year-old accosted by “uniformed officers, their guns drawn” at his door. These officials then “ordered him not to tell anyone about the raid – not even school officials. He asked if he could call his parents.

From the article:

"the left’s aversion to guns stops at precisely the moment they control the guns, pointing them at their political enemies."

That seems to have the kernel of a good FR tagline; I'll give it a try:

These Wisconsin officers are union thugs and I am sure were happy to cooperate with this Stalinist prosecutor.

I have read that Avakian has children that are homosexual from posts online so it makes me wonder if his personal bias had anything to do with his decision...if so an appeal needs to be filed.

He needs to be sued personally. He has absolutely no authority to abrogate another person's First Amendment rights by his personal whim. Who does he think he is, Anthony Kennedy?

I hate everyone in that picture, especially the left side.

“I agree, and it’s unreasonable to blame Walker for their actions.”

Is it unreasonable to expect that a governor will do everything in his power to see that the rule of law is followed in his state and that government officials and law enforcement do not deprive citizens of their God-given rights?

Especially if said governor is trying to convince us all that he’s the great conservative hope here to fix America’s ills? If Walker is going to handle Federal law enforcement abuses in the manner that he seems to be handling those in his own state I want no part of him.

Educate me, what is he doing that I am not aware of? (not being snarky, I really want to know more).

And your tone was unnecessary, and your assumption wrong too.

“Educate me, what is he doing that I am not aware of?”

Thanks for making my point for me.

He’s not doing anything about this, at least not that I’m aware of. Perhaps you can educate me? He’s the governor of a state where Swat teams raid homes in the middle of the night for political reasons and I don’t hear him saying one word about it. What assumption of mine is wrong?

With regards to my tone, I rather liked living in a free country in my youth and I’m upset that my children won’t enjoy this privilege. I offer no apologies.

Scott Walker should have been screaming from the rooftops about this fascist outrage when in happened last September, gag order or no gag order. The fact that he didn’t is unacceptable.

Completely unacceptable. It is a deal-breaker.

Walker being elected and re elected didn’t move all the liberals in power out of Wisconsin......it’s still a liberal state and especially Madison and Milwaukee....

And Walker has done _____

And Walker has said ____

Exactly.

Educate me, what is he doing that I am not aware of?

What is he doing?

He is doing nothing.

That's the point.

The constitution is being flushed as sewage in his state and he, the protector-and-defender of the State Constitution is doing nothing to protect citizens' rights.

That's what is so frustrating here.

It's not that the Evil People are being evil, it's that the "Good" People are doing nothing.

You do remember the old saying?

What can a governor do about judges, academics, etc? Seriously, what CAN he do? And I’m not arrogant enough to think that just because I’m not aware of something, that it’s not going on.

Some governors are very limited in power (Texas, NC for example) - I don’t know about Wisconsin. Since you know it all, how about some specifics. Without specifics, I’ll consider your rant irrelevant.

You know, where do you get the logic that if you don’t know about something, it surely isn’t happening? Seriously where do you get that? It makes no sense. It’s kind of arrogant.

The fact that I don’t know much about the civics of Wisconsin doesn’t mean that certain things are not happening. Ditto’s for you. I asked a reasonable question, and all you have is snark and evasion.

Walker is saying nothing about this case.

Walker is doing nothing about this case.

He is a public figure.

If I am wrong, please show me where I am wrong.

I would love to be wrong. I mean that sincerely. I would love to end up posting the words “I take back what I said about Walker, it turns out he was working hard against this evil”.

Please, please, please, show me where I am wrong. I am begging you. Sincerely.

If I am wrong, please show me where I am wrong.

Let me explain how this works, a conversation. I never said you were wrong. I asked, politely, for more information. Then you came back with snark and faulty logic - which is the notion that since I didn't know anything - it proves there was nothing there. That's patently absurd.

Meanwhile, you have called me wrong, when I didn't even say that Walker had done all he could do. The burden of proof here is 100% on YOU. I asked what he should have done, or been doing, that he hadn't done. If you care to keep an adult chat going, please respond in kind.

Let me explain to you how I THINK it should work:

The left (in the person of a leftist-run police force and leftist prosecutors and leftist judges) REMOVES the constitutional rights from a US citizen or citizens.

The CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR does something publicly about this egregious attack on individual liberty guaranteed by both the US and State constitutions (in the state where he is governor).

Does SOMETHING public.

Says SOMETHING public.

Makes a STRONG PUBLIC STATEMENT.

Takes a STRONG PUBLIC STAND.

Against the egregious error.

Yes?

No?

Do you agree?

Do you disagree?

Do you see Walker taking that stand, making that statement?

If you do: GREAT!

I’m all for it!

If not, why not?

And if my question is “snarky”, then I have not idea what your internal quandries or dispositions are, nor do I care.

I only care about CITIZENS. And RIGHTS. And Protectors of Rights. Like (supposedly) the Governor of State in which rights are being chopped off like limbs at a Viet-cong anti-vaccination party in Apocalypse Now.

But if I am wrong: GREAT!

Please, point to Walker’s public take-down of these evil-doers!

Please!

A good post, but a see a problem. In 2012, the Libs didn’t elect Obama. Conservatives who sat home and refused to vote for Romney gave the election to Obama.

Already we’re seeing comments “I’d never vote for Walker until.....”

That’s the kind of thinking that will hand the election to the Dens.

We all need to work hard to nominate the most conservative candidate in the Primary, then vote for the more conservative in the General.
