I wanted to have a large family.
My parents raised eight of us and all eight of us are productive and contributing members of society, despite the “poverty” of being raised in a situation we would never have considered poor! since we had plentiful cast-off clothing from older cousins, we had a garden, we milked cows, etc.
In the mean time, there was feminism and the sexual revolution. So I was lucky to finally find a good husband in my late 30s. Too late to have a large family. SIGH!
Yet I waited to find a good man. A man who is not a good marriage candidate is also not a good father candidate.
Who wants to bear a child by a man without the decency, strength, determination, etc. to provide for his own child??
Not me! I waited!
The inner city “poor” will stop having illegitimate children when and only when, they have to also find a man who is capable and willing to support his own children.
As long as “Uncle Sugar” pays the bills, the women have no incentive to cut off the “low life” men whom they allow to procreate. Those men could not procreate in an equal society where they had to compete with productive men.
They do not have to compete at all. Uncle Sugar pays the baby-mamas, and the sperm contributor is left totally off the hook.
WE are paying for the anti-Darwinian male to reproduce.
Shame on our government, and shame on us for allowing this travesty.
I applaud Cruz and even Trump about illegal immigration. They need to come out just as vocally about government BUYING children, to perpetuate a hold on dependent voters.
It will only take 20 years to put a stop to it. Who has the courage to stop it?
