Of course. Gun control keeps illegal gun prices high.
Drug dealers support drug control laws for the same reason.

He never said anything about arms deals in other countries.

The judge who issued my first carry permit stamped it (like everyone else’s) “Sporting Use Only” ... and was later removed from the bench for drug trafficking.
Interesting how many of those wielding power to squelch armed self-defense do so because they don’t want effective opposition in their side businesses.

Facts, logic, truth are all meaningless to anti-gunners. Gun control is an article of faith to anti-gunners. It is a part of their religion - statism. Arguing with them is total waste of time because they are true believers, and with true believers, "no proof is necessary and no disproof possible" to slightly misquote Stuart Chase.
Anti-gunners are never satisfied. Every new restriction is always a "good first step." All of their failures to achieve their stated goals are never because their premise is flawed. It's always because "We didn't go far enough." To the liberal mind, there is NEVER the possibility that they're wrong because their beliefs are based on feelings rather than facts. Kind of like globull warming. start with the conclusions and make up the "facts" to fit the conclusion.
Anti-gunners can't be reasoned with, they can't be bargained with. They don't feel pity or remorse (they feel elation at the loss of our rights - the joy of sticking it to someone who doesn't think the way they do) or fear (there aren't any consequences to them if their initiatives fail - they just try again, and again) and they absolutely will not stop. Ever. Until
- The only firearms left in the USA are in the hands of their beloved police and the military
- We are dead - killed "resisting arrest" for holding on to our guns or
- they and enough of their JBTs are killed to put the problem off to the next generation.
And the worst part is that there are a lot of them. Going by the last presidential election over half of the country is either anti-gun or doesn't consider it important enough to disqualify a blatant incompetent narcissisic liberal.
