I think its sort of a copy of Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition from the 1980s. The rainbow reference implied people of all races, colors, creeds, blah, blah were included. I think that resonated with the gay movement, and they co-opted it....almost as a jab to the Rats (who as recently as 10 years ago were opposed to gay marriage)...to say ‘let us in’.

If they want to take a jab at religion, they do it...but are alot less subtle. I really think they overlooked the biblical roots of the rainbow.

Possibly......

But I’m not so sure about that.

I am speaking about a activist leaders here, and not the rank and file gay supporters.

I became convinced of this a decade or so ago when civil unions were rejected in favor of matrimony.

Marriage under the eyes of the government is marriage in any society and is a legal contract, but matrimonial ceremonies are the purview of the church.

They are going to and have demanded matrimony and intend to force churches to give it to them through mandate.

This has already occurred in Scotland and other places in Europe and now it’s here.

What other point could they be trying to make?

They are going to regulate religion through government and law. The marriage license is not good enough. And it appears to me that the SCOTUS decision will lead to this and quickly.

So....It seems that our Republic is no longer a Republic at all and the Constitution can be ignored in favor of just one angry self victimized litigant.

If you speak with a liberal trained lawyer today, (and they are the majority) you will discover that this is the way they see the Constitution.

The so called “living document”........You simply read into it whatever meaning you choose..
