This is a direct result of the absence of separation of powers. The 'official' is acting in what is referred to as a 'quasi-judicial' capacity. Yet he's part of the executive branch of Oregon government.
The executive executes the law, but the legislature writes laws and the judiciary rules on those laws. End administrative law and gain liberty.
Let's get back to the Constitution.
Just to keep you all updated, I checked on the funding site for the Kleins just now, and they are at 75% of goal. I didn’t expect much activity on a holiday, but people are still making donations about 1 every 4 minutes or so.
