I was in Vienna this past week and spoke to a couple of the people gathering petitions. Their biggest complaint was the taxes and lack of popular representation.
The interesting thing we saw in the Vienna area of Austria was that all of the merchants much preferred cash over credit cards. A couple of restaurants were cash only. That is totally different then in Norway, were I've been staying for the past six weeks, were the credit card is used for almost everything.

It was similar in Italy. France seemed less so. That’s based on relatively little experience, week trips every couple years.
