Political change is going to come as a result of the secession of one or more states.
But first HALT ALL remittances to the federal givernment..
and demand a redress of grievances..
Could Only work if several States did this..
When the feds denied this action.. only one thing then is possible..

Not a bad idea. The banks will have to participate or the Feds will simply seize your assets. And most of our tax payments to the Feds are withdrawn by our employers before we ever see it. I believe the Feds think there is no plausible way for the citizens to stage an effective tax revolt. Now if we do have a tax revolt the Feds will simply borrow the money to cover what is lost. I like the idea in principle but there are many holes in the plan that need to be patched up to make a tax revolt effective. And the Feds know it.

A year ago I was strongly opposed to secession of any of the states and thought it was unlikely.
A year later and I think there is a fair chance of secession happening in the next 10 years. The social issues will provide the emotion, but the intractible economic issues (entitlements and amassed debt) will be the driver.
