So what?
The ability/option to go go nuclear has been there for both sides, for 60 years, the difference now, is that Russia doesn’t have the ability to conquer Europe and defeat us on the battlefield.
Does that make you want to grovel to Putin and surrender to him with showing resistance, because you think that he is insane and will choose to destroy himself and Russia if you don’t pee your pants when he says boo to us, and the United States Navy?
Is that what you learned in the military?
So what?
Well, as far as Western Europe, I'm with you, limit the war to nuking Western European targets, and both sides will be able to test weapons and tactics.
As far as the continental US, there are some places where the weather is quite nice, so no, I don't want Ukrainian Socialists to fight their war here, and try as I might, I can't find a Russian to threaten me.
Is that what you learned in the military?
I learned in the military that my fellow American servicemen (and I) won the Vietnam war, but interestingly, a DemoRat Congress and those that remained behind to urge me forward, voted to abandon the American service men's triumph and award victory to the Communist Vietnamese.
What did you learn in the military?
