I am a “Cruz or Lose guy.” But — his statement is stupid. The job of the SCOTUS is not to respect people or parochial views, but to respect the Constitution regardless of who it might offend.

It is the vote of the people or their representatives, especially in flyover country, which the lower courts overturned or was otherwise kicked up the judicial food chain to reach the current ruling. That vote or will expressed in legislation was overwhelmingly against 'gay marriage' in many jurisdictions, and the obvious follow-on will be the assault on those who will not comply with the ruling for religious reasons.

Nothing in the Constitution empowers the Federal Government with any say over marriage, therefore it is a Right or Power reserved to the States, or the People.

While there is no right for homosexuals to marry in the Constitution, the clause "...nor prohibit the free exercise thereof." is applied to religion in the First Amendment.

That allegedly protected right will inevitably come under attack in the next round of lawsuits which will directly attack those who refuse to issue the licenses, bake the cakes, or perform the ceremonies in their churches or elsewhere, because of their religious beliefs.

In this court, the invented rights of faggotry will trump Almighty God Himself.

Given the choice, I will entrust my future to the Almighty, and the SCOTUS can pound sand.
