Watching my dad fight the VA since the 60’s, he retired in 1963, the VA’s claim in those days was all of your records were destroyed in the fire at the St. Louis record center. He passed in 1991 and they were still using that excuse. But with new vets entering the service in the 90’s dont they have digital records to access these records to support the new claims?
Although I didn’t serve, I advised my daughter who served 4 1/2 in the Marines, to make sure everything was documented and to get a copy of her records based upon my dad’s experience.
Yes, moved to Texas and we have such an office here in my county. Excellent. Simply excellent.
However, El Paso County is a disaster. The El Paso office is unresponsive and rude.
