Spending excessive amounts on education has resulted in some of the worst results in the first world. Public education, IMHO, is child abuse. Break the unions, attack the system which produces your typical liberal indoctrination camps...I understand that, when stated your way, liberals can make a decrease in spending sound bad, “for the children” etc. (you do that very well, by the way), but I agree that the public education system must be starved before we can begin to return to an educational standard that actually produces students who can think logically.
I am for focusing our education dollars by sending those dollars to the communities where spending and the curriculum is set locally. We must get the liberal propaganda and agenda out of the classroom. I would like to see the Dept. of Education abolished.
High standards for teachers and performance ratings for students must be set. I agree that teachers unions have been part of the problem. No more politically correct dumbing down. No more pushing students through who cannot read.
