I stumbled across his ‘hellfire’ sermon from 2008 on YouTube a couple of years back. I have listened to his Sunday sermons ‘live’ on the internet ever since. (I thought the congregation was going to break out into a standing ovation at one point...not appropriate for church, but a clear indicator of how he was connecting with the folks in the pews.)
Why not? I don't like applause in church, even applause for the choir, but if the words of a sermon rouse people to an occasional outburst of applause, or a few loud Amens!, where's the harm?
His preaching is like the revival services that once shook England....full of Passion and conviction. We’re going to need these types of Pastors as they are gifted to speak strong enough over the dead minds that are out there today sufficient to get their attention.
