An urge for Marylanders to be proactive about their Medicaid coverage. By the end of June, more than 13,000 people need to re-enroll—and another 13,000 by the end of July.
“Everyone who is enrolled in Medicaid in the old insurance system needs to re-enroll in Maryland Health Connection,” said Lena Hershkovitz.
Throughout the year, that’s a total of 300,000 families. If people miss their deadline, they risk going uncovered. …

Of all states, i guarantee that they will extend that deadline until every last one of them has been tracked down and renewed. Do not worry about socialist Maryland. Not one of those Medicaid patients will be denied any coverage. That is how Maryland works.
How can Cummings think that these folks can handle Medicaid enrollment when he doesn’t think they are capable of getting a voter identification card? The old fool has become a joke.

When you have to beg people to sign up for their benefits, they must not place much value on them.

Maryland’s formost “lawn jockey” speaks! Must be a lot of lazy “Holder’s people” who can’t find the time to do it what with all the riots, looting, illicit procreating, and killing that they have on their “to do” lists.

So.... Cummings must get a decent ‘cut’ of the cream off the top of the Maryland Health Exchange.
Why in the world do they have to beg folks in Maryland to sign up for Medicaid? If that is the case, something else is wrong here... Maryland must be losing money whenever the Medicaid enrollments drop. Typical worries by politicians.
Free is free (or almost so), what else do these folks want?
I know, choice of Doctor, Hospital choice, what else?
Just take it to the Supreme Court, they will rule that the intention of the law was to provide people with Medicaid coverage, so the people will be covered whether they follow the law or not. Easy.
As a Marylander, all I can say is: “good”! I am tired of tolerating unconstitutional federal programs. FedGov has no business being involved in charity, including Medicare/Medicaid, and the more failures we see in efforts to deliver these programs, the better. The pendulum may swing back too far in our direction, but I’m okay with that. It’s time to oppose big government in all its forms.
Yep, sounds like People will be tripping over dead bodies on their way to Work or the Welfare Office just like they did in the old days.
please don’t lump MEDICARE with MEDICAID

MEDICARE has been paid for over decades by many, and continues to be paid for even after joined, and joining is forced on military retirees and others
Medicaid = welfare.
