In the Christian circles I move in, people are so afraid to speak out because they don’t think they should “judge”. So they lose all their possible influence. We’re not living in 1950s folks.

No we aren’t. It seems uncomfortably more like the 1930’s...

Yes. The other related problem is that most people have committed sexual sins, which they regret, so they feel like hypocrites when upholding sexual morality.

They don’t realize that they’re not being hypocrites. They care about others and don’t want others to suffer as they did. This is love, not hate.

And by remaining silent they’re committing at least a material sin of failing to correct error.
