What you have to remember is it isn’t “this generation” we’re fighting. It’s important to realize that the present crowd making policy in Washington are the youthful hippies of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, and everything they do is based on the concerns of that era: drug legalization, black power, sexual liberation, etc. What these people are saying and doing today would be right at home in an “All in the Family” rerun. It’s all they know. And they want to get that almost 50-year-old agenda through before they wheel into the nursing home.
But coming up quickly are the kids of the Reagan era and the dotcom boom. Their priorities are completely different. That’s why I feel we must get Ted Cruz across the finish line in first place. He understands, and can represent, the up-and-coming leaders who can save the nation.
